I don't understand why Mayfield took off his helmet in the first place, and moreover never put it back on. If you're infiltrating an enemy base in disguise, your identity is the last thing you should be cavalier about. So much of the plot of this episode was the direct consequence of that stupid decision.
I couldn't help but wonder if it was contractually obligated "face time" for Bill Burr, or some sort of narrative shortcut to make it easier to tell which character was talking when he and Mando were walking around in identical suits. Regardless, it felt like a huge plot hole to me.
So much this. It basically ruined the episode for me. I literally could not stop thinking about how dumb it was that he didn't just put the jetpack back on rather than run up a mountain by foot.
As opposed to Mando taking off his jet pack, and only his jet pack, in the previous episode and never thinking to put it back on, so that he would be unable to get to Grogu in time?

Especially when we've established in previous episodes that he can control the jetpack remotely. I think the odds that our constantly-in-sticky-situations hero doesn't have some sort of "fly back...

Even if he kept it on, he'd have to take it off to use the terminal, so the threat of being recognized was still relatively the same. But yeah, he should have had it on the rest of the time.

i think its more from the producers, it makes for a pretty bland scene if its just 2 stormtroopers talking back and forth, and hard to discern which one is talking etc. Just like in every police...

A bit offtopic, but I can't wait for the season to finish so I can finally watch it and then join in on these episode discussion topics. It's been killing me holding off watching it, and trying to...

I have to say I love the episodic format as a break from binge-watching. If I'm really into a series and the whole season is up I will watch one or two a night until I'm done. I don't have the...

If I'm really into a series and the whole season is up I will watch one or two a night until I'm done. I don't have the willpower to enjoy the nice Friday evening treat I would otherwise enjoy with an episodic release. But I do like the freedom of binge-watching as well, it just depends on the show.
I think publishers are using the episodic release more often these days because a strong show reaches a larger cultural zeitgeist this way, but I'm not sure.
The cynic in me says, at least for streaming services, it's more likely because it forces people to subscribe for several months if they want to watch the show as it comes out.

He wanted to be seen. To be recognized. He couldn't hide from his demons if they were laid bare.

So did anything interesting happen in those 3 skipped episodes? I haven't seen them yet.

Why aren’t you watching it?
