Timely post for me! One of my goals lately has been to start journaling again. I found it so useful for my mental health hygiene and goal-setting and focus, but I ended up stopping for a pretty silly reason... I spent a lot of time lovingly making a custom Notion.so template that is nearly perfect for me. Then I ran up against their storage limitation and realized I'd either have to delete content or start a paid account to continue journaling in the same way. I couldn't figure out how to delete old content rather than just archive it so I got frustrated and left.

I started up again yesterday on the same platform. I figured out how to delete old or useless content almost immediately (of course) so I'm journaling free again for now. But I think even once I hit the limit again I'm going to just cough up the $5/mo or whatever it is.

I got a couple important things out of this article: firstly that some more deep types of entries are really only achievable sometimes, and that's fine; secondly, the more practical tip to take a photo of handwritten entries. Sometimes it's just nice to write with a pen rather than a keyboard.

    Thank you for the post!
