If anyone wants to check them out, probably start with the album Shaken by a Low Sound. It's just packed with standout songs. (It looks like their rendition of "Ain't No Grave" was featured in True Blood, and The Last of Us 2 gameplay trailer at E3 used "Little Sadie" and an instrumental version of "Ecstasy.")

They're doing a few shows in Cambridge, MA this December. A few of us were thinking of going to Boston at some point to visit a friend of ours, and that might be a good time to go!

Lights, one of my favorite pop artists, puts out stripped down, unplugged versions of each of her albums. She just released Skin&Earth Acoustic, which is the usual reinterpretation of her 2017 album. I always enjoy getting to hear more mellow, relaxed versions of her sublime poppy melodies.

I also got back into Tunde Olaniran's Stranger after leaving it alone months ago (due to me overplaying it!). It has a rich, compelling energy and a freshness to it that I find irresistible. "Coins," a sort of soundtrack for the "fuck you pay me" mantra, has become something of a personal anthem for me due to some current issues impacting my salary.

Been listening to hymn for the weekend by Coldplay mainly. Such a calming song. I don't know how exactly but the song just makes me feel really optimistic.
