I'm working on my "three apps in three months challenge." The first app I'm working on is an app that combines time tracking and habit tracking named Percent Done. It allows you to set daily goals like "write for an hour" and track the time you spend on them, together with how many days in a row you have been working on a given goal.

I also recently bought a Breville Barista Express espresso machine, and I'm still having a hard time getting a good coffee consistently. I appreciate baristas and the little invention called "Nespresso" much more now. Making an espresso involves a lot of parameters such as beans, water temperature, grind size, tamping pressure, extraction ratio and time, and much more.

And lastly, I just made a Neapolitan(-ish) pizza at home after a long while. It turned out pretty well.

I actually recently bought a second-hand Knock Feld2 hand grinder, which is supposed to be a decent hand grinder, as I was unhappy with the results I was getting with Barista Express' built-in grinder. But to be honest, I still don't want to believe that I can't get consistently decent shots using the built-in grinder because that would mean I wasted my money on buying the model with built-in grinder and that I need to hand-grind beans every single time I want espresso like I used to do and hate.

I'm trying to sell my condo. Tonight my girlfriend and I are going to look at an apartment to possibly rent. For the rest of the week I need to make fixes to our place.

Buy tickets and review my linguistics notes and books. I'll do three preliminary exams and three interviews at three universities in the coming two weeks and a half, none of which us in my city, so it'll take lots of travelling and hotel stays. It'll be fun and tiring. It will also be definitive: if I fail these, and maybe another one in August, I'll take a long break to work, put aside some money, lightly study, and live the fucking life a bit. Between family troubles and this effort, I've passed some of the best years of my life without having much fun; I want to compensate that, also I can't take more of this without a break anyways, both psychologicall and economically: the shoestring I was living on is really hurting now.

Oh, thanks a lot! I don't really stress, I'm a "well, fuck that then, what's the new goal?" type of guy. But I'm tired and bored. Especially with uncooperative staff, particularly in one of the schools I'm applying (I was almost gonna cancel the thing today).

I read you have some troubles with studies too, heavy workload. If I were you, I'd finish what I started—unless there's something really worthwhile to do during that particular stretch of time instead of that—b/c this stuff tends to pile up as you leave it for later. IDK how much downtime there'll be between the summer lessons & the actual Fall semester where you are tho. In my university we had huge summer breaks that lasted from early June till end of September, almost four months. If your Fall semester will start right away after the summer one, it might be worth it to let go of it to have some time to rest and have some fun. Either way, I wish you good luck with that!

I wanted to play with your tildes script, but I did not have any time, sorry. I'll go back to it after these whacky couple of weeks tho. This week (and probably the next one) I'll do the ~books thread on Thursday, and later maybe I try my hand at automating it using TAPS.

Well unless something unexpected occurs, this week should involve a bunch of fishing on my families new boat. We have been wanting to buy something larger for a while now, but with some worrying future health prospects for my father we have decided it is time to just say fuck the debt and buy the boat so we can all enjoy it. We were supposed to be out last week but had some issues getting it set up and delivered.

    Digging holes!

Our big beautiful birch tree in our front yard died this winter, so we had a company come cut it down yesteryday - I need to do some research on how to stack wood to dry properly so I can use it for firewood in the future, and then we need to dig a big hole and chop out the stump of our tree so that we can plant something new in it's place! (we got a midnight chokecherry to go there.) on top of that, I also got a Saskatoon Berry bush and a Highbush Cranberry bush delivered with the tree, so I'm going to remove or move the Mock Orange in my front yard to replace with the saskatoon, and re/move a pink wild rose in the backyard for the highbush cranberry.

Then I have to screw up some courage to talk to my across-the-alley neighbour and ask them if I can rescue their abandoned raspberry bush out of their back alley and put it in my yard!

I am going to replay at least part of Katawa Shoujo. You can guess which routes, but you aren't allowed to read my username.

Why? because It's been about 1.5 years since I last did a full playthrough, so I think it's time for another.

And for anyone asking what Katawa Shoujo is, it's a visual novel, and you should play it ;).
