I went to my library and checked out everything that Daft Punk has ever made. And I even watched Tron with them in it as well. It's been a pretty good week.

I love those moments when there is a sudden flash memory of an artist you have`t listen to in years.

Since you just discovered the song, you might not have heard of the animated tv series Rick and Morty? I strongly recommend it, its the best animated series, scratch that, series in general in years if you ask me.

This is another song from chaos chaos that they made for Rick and Morty which is both great, and very popular called Do You Feel It?

Also quite a lot of Jesper Kyd tracks were removed from Spotify recently, so I had to end up making do with old youtube videos of some of my favourite songs. This track from an old Hitman game and This track from Borderlands 1.

Pershing is such a good record. I bought it off the strength of "Think I Wanna Die" as a single, and it being on Polyvinyl. Was not disappointed at all.

At the moment, I'm revisiting Coheed and Cambria's Unheavenly Creatures. My favorite song went from Old Flames to All On Fire. I love how I can have a favorite, listen to the album more, and then have the favorite completely change to a song I paid no mind to previously.

I'm also in the process of dissecting Mirrored by Battles. Really digging Leyendecker, Atlas, and Mirrored so far.

Recently enjoyed Blu's collaboration with Oh No (who I'm not familiar with). Not my favourite project from Blu as a first impression, but a very solid release you can't really fault at any point. Blu's easily in my top five MCs, and it's a shame he's not really been allowed to find his own, hoping this LP is a step in the right direction for him.

Big fan of Sun Kil Moon and Mark Kozelek, his latest release is probably his weakest to date. That said, I think that about every one of his releases and I end up going back and enjoying it more. It's hard to keep up with this ramble-logs of his when they're often 90+ minutes and releasing every season. On 'I Also Want to Die in New Orleans' there wasn't anything I was eager to hear again, which is a first for me and Kozelek.

Solange's new record was good. Definitely need to hear it again to make up my mind.

Some old favourites - Tom Wait's 'Small Change', possibly his best work; 'Familiars' by The Antlers, an amazing releases overshadowed by 'Hospice'.

I guess I was in an Arthur Russel mood throughout the week as I often am.

The Le Orme record was a random spin. I didn't like it at all.

That and the absolute mess of a playlist I've been compiling lately on my Spotify. There's some 1975, Earth wind and Fire and uh.. Eiffel 65.. Oh and Bomfunk MC's.

Being a child of the 90s is a blessing and a curse, lol.

Try Not To Freak Out is their only full-length (they're releasing a new one soon though) and it's a good starting point. Then go back and listen to the Sponge State and Empire Records EPs!

I really like that funky, disco-y edm stuff like what Daft Punk, Justice, and now Duck Sauce have out there. If anyone else has some good recommendations for this kind of edm, let me know.

Most recently, the new records from Stella Donnelly and Sasami. Both are really good. The new Lomelda record is up next. Also, really loving the new(ish) Laura Stevenson songs.
